BALE LINKED TO MAN UNITED
This story is everywhere so somebody, somewhere wants us to think that a) Real Madrid will see Gareth Bale next summer and b) Manchester United will buy him, having twice before failed to land the Welshman.
‘Real have grown tired of Bale’s ongoing injury issues and are believed to be ready to offload the Wales star next summer,’ say NOV. Of course they have ‘grown tired’; he has missed 40 of their last 60 games through injury.
Tottenham have first option on Bale but their wage structure would make such a move impossible.
‘Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to step up his pursuit of Tottenham star Danny Rose in January. It certainly makes sense, though whether Spurs will sell to a rival is another question; it would send out the wrong message after the summer exit of Kyle Walker.
“He could prove difficult to get though as Tottenham do not like dealing with United. It all depends on money at the end of the day,” a source told The Sun. Indeed it does. It took £50m to land Walker so expect a similar fee for the left-back.
LUCAS MOURA TO ARSENAL
Lucas Moura has previously been linked with Arsenal so they seem like the obvious destination for the Brazilian, who – according to UOL Esporte – has decided to leave PSG to seek a new challenge in the Premier League. He could arrive as early as January and presumably will not cost anywhere close to the 40 million Euros the French side paid for his services.
Lucas has played just 71 minutes of Ligue Un football this season as he has been sidelined at PSG. His only hope of getting anywhere close to a World Cup squad place with Brazil is a move to a high-profile club.
